There are very few conferences like Congility, which focus on the essential connection between content and customers in this way. Hopefully there will be much to learn and contribute to around evolving strategies and technologies.

Technical writing is moving beyond its comfortable guild mentality into a broader scope of practitioners and the types of content they create, and ways of approving and publishing that content. This conference will help you understand where your next content contributions may be coming from, and what tools and training those new writers will need in order for their knowledge to mesh with the new social content strategy your business is moving toward. I'm looking forward to taking part in the Congility conference where I'll be able to meet leading industry practitioners and share my experience of promoting a strategic approach to content development within an "agile" software development company. Comment » |
Mark Forry Senior technical writer, NetApp |
This is my first experience with Congility/X-Pubs. I was very interested when Noz and I discussed the event last fall; I'm looking forward to sharing experiences with others who are interested in the broader implications of content management in an organization and not simply "technical publications" per se.

Data Conversion Laboratory has developed a reputation of being responsive to the needs of our customers. What better way to learn from those on the leading edge what the emerging requirements are that will shape the face of content in the coming year.

I've been in the localisation business forever, but really we are all in the customer communication business. Global customer information depends on ease and speed of localisation which in turn depends on attributes in source. Congility is as vital an event for us as Localization World. Comment » |

It was at X-pubs where Elekta began its journey into Global Information Management, incorporating DITA XML. It seems fitting that, after about three years, we return to Congility to share our experiences. Comment » |

I would like to see how other companies manage agile processes within content or what content agility means for them. Comment » |
Noz Urbina Senior Consultant and Trainer, Mekon |
Congility is Europe's only event this focused on taking a strategic approach to content. With the X-Pubs legacy there will be lots of great DITA, XML and Component Content learning opportunities on offer, but the content agility concept, and this year's content integration theme, take the concept wider and ask today's big questions: How does structured content play with unstructured? How do we integrate Subject Matter Expert (SME) and User Generated Content (UG) content? How do we balance online, mobile and offline (print) concerns? How do we collaborate better? We lack end-to-end thinking and cross-tool, product agnostic strategies. Congility is therefore taking the content discussion where it needs to go. I'm really looking forward to engaging with the speakers and attendees in this community. Comment » |
Briana Wherry Information Manager, Alfresco |
